Halaç Jewellery Limited was founded in 1995 by Ömer Halaç, a member of the Halaç family - a family with half a century of experience in the jewellery sector.
 
Always maintaining to provide the best services within the shortest amount of time, Halaç Jewellery made a name for itself in the Grand Bazaar´s gold market. In 2002, Halaç Jewellery merged with Istanbul Gold Refinery, which had been established by Istanbul Gold Exchange and T.R. Treasury in 1996. After consolidation, Istanbul Gold Refinery Inc. became an ever-growing force in the sector, quickly becoming a pioneer which is envied and emulated.
 
IGR has succeeded in many aspects, the production of investment bars, known as "gram gold", was a great innovation followed by successful laboratorial operations, foreign exchange and foreign trade. IGR also reached out to other sectors around the world such as recycling, treatment, mining, agriculture and construction.
